ABOUT KYRO AI
When a major storm knocks out power, utilities race to mobilize crews and get the lights back on. Kyro AI builds the software behind that effort: workforce and contractor management for electric utilities, storm restoration contractors, and aggregators. We are headquartered in Plano, Texas, and were spun off from Think Power Solutions, so we pair long-standing utility expertise with the pace and ownership of a product company.

WHY JOIN KYRO
– Work that matters: our platform helps communities get power back after storms and keeps a critical, regulated industry compliant.
– A growing product suite: StormShield for storm restoration, Kyro Capital for contractor invoice factoring, KORY (our AI copilot), and contractor onboarding and verification.
– Credibility from day one: you sell with the backing of real utility relationships and domain know-how.
– Close to leadership: direct access to the CEO and product team, and what you hear from customers shapes the roadmap.
– Room to grow: a clear path from SDR to Account Executive.
– Flexibility: fully remote team.
THE ROLE
As an SDR, you are the first conversation most utilities and contractors have with Kyro. You will work two segments with very different buying motions:
Utilities (enterprise): You will talk to storm response, emergency management, contractor management, supply chain, and procurement leaders. Cycles are long, involve multiple stakeholders, and are often tied to RFIs/RFPs. A win is a qualified discovery meeting or demo handed to the account team.
Contractors (SMB to mid-market): You will talk to owners, operations managers, and storm coordinators at line, vegetation, and restoration contractors. Cycles are shorter, phone-first, and owner-led. A win is a demo held and the contractor signed up and onboarded.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
– Prospect outbound: research target utilities and contractors, build account lists, and reach decision-makers by phone, email, and LinkedIn.
– Own the follow-up: run multi-touch cadences, chase no-shows and stalled conversations, and make sure every lead has a dated next step.
– Respond to inbound leads the same business day and qualify them before they go cold.
– Qualify with rigor: confirm need, timeline, decision process, budget, and compliance requirements before booking.
– Book and confirm demos, send reminders, and hand off with clear notes.
– Drive conversions: stay with contractors after the demo until they sign up and start onboarding; keep utility opportunities moving to the next stage.
– Keep the CRM clean: log every activity, stage change, and next step.
– Feed the product team: share objections, competitor mentions, and feature requests from the field.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
Success is measured on demos held and the conversions that follow. Activity counts are leading indicators, not the goal. KPIs: demos booked, demos held, demo-to-opportunity rate, conversions (contractors signed up and onboarded; utility opportunities advanced to proposal or pilot), pipeline sourced, speed to lead, follow-up coverage (share of open leads with a dated next step), and outreach activity. Targets are set separately for each segment; utility credit weighs meetings and pipeline more than closed conversions.
WHAT YOU BRING
– 1-3 years as an SDR or BDR in B2B sales, ideally SaaS, with a record of hitting or beating meeting and demo quotas
– Disciplined follow-up across phone, email, and LinkedIn without being reminded
– Confident cold calling, including with field-oriented buyers who rarely live in their inbox
– Clear, concise written communication
– Hands-on experience with a CRM and a sales engagement tool (HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, or similar)
– Comfort with metrics: you track your own funnel and know where deals stall
– Ability to learn a technical, regulated domain quickly
– Self-directed and organized in a fully remote setting
– Native English speaker, available during US Central Time business hours
NICE TO HAVE
– Experience selling into utilities, energy, construction, field services, or regulated industries
– Familiarity with storm restoration, line work, vegetation management, or contractor ecosystems
– Exposure to both enterprise (long-cycle) and SMB or self-serve sales motions
– Experience selling workforce management, compliance, or fintech products
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
COMPENSATION AND PROBATION
– Competitive market base plus uncapped commission. Base is paid bi-weekly and commission quarterly.
– Accelerators: 1.5x at 101-125% of quota, 2.0x above 125%.
– The first six months are probationary, with performance reviews at 3 and 6 months against ramped KPI targets (demos held, conversions, follow-up coverage).
– If targets are not met, Kyro may extend the probationary period or end employment. – – Employment remains at-will during and after probation.
WHAT WE OFFER
– Competitive base and variable pay
– A fully remote role
– A clear path to Account Executive for SDRs who consistently hit target
– Direct exposure to product and leadership at a company shaping how utilities run storm response
