Manage accounting for a portfolio of early-stage, venture-backed startups

Review, challenge, and continuously improve work from offshore bookkeepers and automation tools

Act as the main accounting contact for your clients – helping founders understand their numbers and make smarter decisions

Work side-by-side with our Head of Accounting to design scalable systems and processes that connect accounting with tax
-
Standardize and document workflows – from onboarding through month-end close

Partner with our internal team and engineers to spot automation opportunities and improve how we deliver client work

As an early member of the accounting team, help shape how we build and scale our accounting offering
-
4–6+ years of accounting experience, ideally working with startups or in a fast-moving environment
-
Strong accounting foundation – comfortable reviewing or jumping into bookkeeping work when needed
-
Experience managing offshore teams or automation-assisted workflows
-
Excellent communicator – organized, proactive, and great at keeping clients informed
-
Process-minded and tech-forward – you enjoy building systems, documenting workflows, and finding ways to work smarter

Proficient in tools like QBO, Puzzle, and Google Sheets; experience with automation tools is a plus

CPA preferred but not required

Remote role – ideally based in or around Vancouver, BC for occasional coworking days
